We love beautifully decorated handmade notebooks. And we’d like to share with you an easy way to make pocket size noteboks with no special tools or materials required. In the next post we’ll show how we decorate them with watercolor and ink.
Here is what we are going to end up with:
Here is what we are going to need: paper for pages, cheap watercolor paper (or any other cartoon that is not deformed by watercolor), strings and a needle for binding, a pin to make holes, scissors and a pencil. You’ll need a ruler as well.
Take watercolor paper and paper for pages (we had 8 pieces = 16 pages) and cut them the same size.
Make marks for future holes with a pencil. Pierce both the watercolor paper and the pages with a pin. Hold the notebook tight, so the holes are identical.
Take a needle with the string, make a knot at one end ad start sewing your notebook.
Go the whole way till the last hole and all the way back.
